London, KY – May 10, 2014: Logs ‘n Hogs Rolling for Our Heroes Benefit Ride

Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Tommy and Gwen Mitchell, local stars of the GAC TV and DIY Network show LogHeads and owners of Rocky Top Log Furniture and Railing, are organizing and leading the Logs ‘N Hogs: Rolling for our Heroes event to raise funding and awareness for the Bluemont, VA based Boulder Crest Retreat.

The event will commence at 11:30 AM with a motorcycle ride from Wildcat Harley-Davidson located in London, KY. The police-escorted ride will end at the Garrard County Fairgrounds in Lancaster, KY. Shortly after the riders arrive the event will officially kick-off with a double-amputee veteran parachuting into the event with the American Flag. The fun-filled day will include food, family-friendly events, hourly raffles, surprise guests and live music featuring Simon Pure as headliner. County Fairgrounds gates will open at noon with festivities expected to begin at 2:30 PM. The event will be filmed by Media Meld Studios and be included in an up-coming episode of LogHeads.

Ticket prices are $25 for riders (all riders will receive an event t-shirt) $10 for non-riders. To learn more and to purchase tickets to the event, please go to our event website.
